Inspiration Award

The first thing I do when I get up in the mornings, before any ablutions, is switch on the lap-top. What else? Yesterday, I woke up to a pleasant surprise - an Inspiration award! Thank you for nominating me 51 stories. The award is for those bloggers whom we admire and who inspire. I'm really flattered and grateful to receive the following:

I too, wish that was me in repose, flaunting my lovely habit.

I'm going to carry the torch and nominate 7 bloggers some of whom I have recently discovered. First a few rules:

1. Please put the logo of the award on your blog.
2. Link to the person from whom you received the award.
3. Nominate 7 or more blogs.
4. Leave a message on their blogs to tell them.

Here are the winners whom I admire and who inspire me:

1. To Mary at O Audacious Book who now and then drops by and gives me a boost with her encouragement and helpful advice, whether it be about writing, book recommendations, and how to keep birds from swooping at my fig tree.

2. To Vanda Symon who gives me a shot of laughter with her sharp wit and wry sense of humour. I'm looking forward to her third instalment of the Sam Shepherd crime series, due out this year.

3. Gondal Girl who has recently finished her book which I'm looking forward to reading. I'm inspired by her beautiful seductive writing and her selection of reading material.

4. Rachel King who wrote "The Sound of Butterflies" which I adored. I always look forward to reading about her writing experiences and any writing advice she has to offer.

5. Andrea at acatofimpossiblecolour, an endearing young woman and writer who blows me away with her tenacity and fortitude.

6. To Laini Taylor at Growwings whom I have been following over the last few weeks, and who brings me alive with her exuberance and creativity and writing advice.

7. To Kerry at No Excuses. Just Write. Kerry is one busy lady. She works to a tight schedule, tirelessly, on top of getting married in October. She constantly reminds me to get on with it and finish that book.

I hope you will all be able to display your award and nominate 7 bloggers who inspire you too.

SMILES.

Thanks joanne - very nice of you. I have just passed it on to one person - I hope that doesn't break the rules. But you have already given it to five of my mates!

Wow, thank you so much! That's really kind of you. Thank you for your sweet comments, as well.

Also, it's very nice to (virtually) meet you! :)

Thank you for your responses so far. I sincerely enjoyed passing the award onto those who inspire me. Of course, there is no obligation to these kinds of things. I don't believe in forcing anything onto anyone. Just to say you received the award is plenty. I'm happy with that. Smiles all round.

What a lovely award. I loved The Sound of Butterflies, I'll have to go look at Rachael King's web page.
